5 unusual facts about Torg

Torg

1930s technology worked side-by-side with Egyptian magical astronomy and "weird science" powers and gizmos, while costumed Mystery Men patrolled the alleyways of Cairo.

They later established a small realm in Los Angeles, and subsequently took partial control of Berlin, splitting their reality with the New Nile Empire.

Torg is a cinematic multi-genre role-playing game (RPG) created by Greg Gorden and Bill Slavicsek and released by West End Games in 1990, which uses several innovative techniques.

Tharkold has been compared to something of a cross between the Terminator and Hellraiser movies.

Scene titles in the published adventures were often elaborate puns, and there was a Five Realms role-playing game-within-the-game where the author Jeff Mills was a parody of game designer Greg Gorden, and who eventually went on to help save the world in the final published adventure, War's End.

Le Déserteur

It was later translated into English, Italian (by Luigi Tenco, Ornella Vanoni and Ivano Fossati), Spanish, Swedish ("Jag står här på ett torg", Lars Forssell), Dutch ("De deserteur" by Peter Blanker), Catalan and Danish and then many other languages.

Music Go Music

The band styles its core members as the pseudonymous Torg, Gala Bell, and Kamar Maza, however videos and live performances have revealed them to be David and Meredith Metcalf of the indie-rock band Bodies of Water.

Robot Torg

Torg was a robot character in the 1964 Christmas movie, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

Sørenga

It is located east of Bjørvika, west of Vannspeilet, south of the street Bispegata and Oslo torg, and west and north of the Alna River.
