In November 2012, Anatomy Ledovskikh, the former head of Russian’s Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, was elected Chairman of the Board at Transmashholding, one of the companies owned by Iskander Makhmudov.
The first of the production series of the EP20 was official handed over in late 2012, at a ceremony attended by Dmitry Medvedev, and high officials of Alstom, Transmashholding, RZD and V. Golubev, Governor of the Rostov region.
There is also a joint venture with Transmashholding, called MTU Transmashholding Diesel Technologies; it will produce MTU 4000-series engines at a factory near Kolomna in Russia.
