The America National Ballet danced a very eclectic repertoire as well as other works from famous choreographers as Twyla Tharp, Lisa McKhann, and Fernando Bujones.
The noted choreographer Twyla Tharp used a prelude and fugue by Werner for her 1976 dance Give and Take.
In addition to Doris Humphrey, Martha Graham and Tero Saarinen cited above, choreographers Twyla Tharp (“Sweet Fields,” 1996) and Martha Clarke (“Angel Reapers,” 2011) also set movement to Shaker hymns.

Hence AAADT has a repertory of more than 200 works by over seventy choreographers, including such choreographers as Ulysses Dove, Karole Armitage, Uri Sands, Elisa Monte, Talley Beatty, Katherine Dunham and Twyla Tharp (whose work The Golden Section, excerpted from her larger ballet, The Catherine Wheel, entered AAADT's repertory in 2006).
Modern dance choreographers and companies including José Limón, Pearl Lang, Bella Lewitzky, Sophie Maslow, Alwin Nikolais, Merce Cunningham, Ruth Currier, Erick Hawkins, Paul Taylor, Alvin Ailey, Twyla Tharp, Eiko & Koma, Seán Curran, Maguy Marin, Pilobolus and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker have all given performances there.
Deuce Coupe is a ballet by choreographer Twyla Tharp, set to music by the Beach Boys, for the Joffrey Ballet.

In 2000, Orr, in conjunction with Libman, began a series of commissions for contemporary ballets inspired by American music, including such musicians as Indigo in Motion, Ray Brown, Stanley Turrentine, Lena Horne, Billy Strayhorn, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Frank Sinatra, and Cole Porter, with choreography of Kevin O'Day, Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Dwight Rhoden, Derek Deane, Matjash Mrozewski, and Twyla Tharp.
