He also collaborated with Umberto Tozzi and founded two minor bands of his own, "Tarrot" (who were hired by ex-Premiata Forneria Marconi Franz Di Cioccio to play the musical score for the 1982 film Attila flagello di Dio) and "Night Fudge".
In his early years of his career he did know the record producer Giancarlo Bigazzi who introduces the young musician in the music business, as collaborator of artists like Raf and Umberto Tozzi.
The band's popularity skyrocketed with the release of their second album, "Radio Taxi 2", and the first single out of the album, "Eva", a Portuguese version of a song by Italian singer Umberto Tozzi.
The cover version by American singer Laura Branigan first brought Tozzi's name to attention in the USA in 1982.
