Godber scripted and directed the film adaptation in 1998 with Samantha Janus, Gary Olsen, Iain Rogerson, Neil Morrissey, and Richard Ridings.

It is a phrase made popular by the late TV commentator Eddie Waring who strongly resembles the character played by Griff Rhys Jones.
