In February, defender Rhys Weston joined on a short-term contract, having left Norwegian club Viking FK.
In 2005, Basso moved on to the Tippeligaen side Viking, where he enjoyed a good spell, the highlight of which was his impressive performance in the shock 1–0 home victory over Ligue 1 giants Monaco in the 2005–06 UEFA Cup group stage.

Richard Ntomba Ekunde (born 4 August 1982 in Kinshasa) is a Congolese footballer who plays as a defender who plays for the Norwegian club Viking.
Soltvedt started his professional career at Viking in Stavanger in 1987 and was a member of the team who won the Norwegian Cup in 1989 and the Tippeligaen in its inaugural year, 1991.
In 2006, he was picked for Statoil's football academy, where he played with Rosenborgs Markus Henriksen, Lillestrøms Ruben Gabrielsen and Viking FK team mate Christian Landu Landu.
