Chennai Kadhal is a 2006 Tamil film directed by Vikraman.
The soundtrack, released in 1993, features 11 tracks with lyrics written by Pulamaipithan, Pirai Sudan, Pazhani Bharathi, Poovarasan and Vikraman.
After the failure of Mariyadhai (2009), Vikraman took a sabbatical before launching a project titled Ilamai Naatkal in 2011.

Ninaithathu Yaaro is a Tamil film written and directed by Vikraman and produced by T. Immanuel and P. Ramesh.
He became assistant to directors Pandiyarajan ('Aan Pavam'), Vikraman ('Poove Unakkaga', 'Suryavamsam', 'Unnai Ninaithu' and 'Priyamana Thozhi') and K.S.Ravikumar.
He made a comeback with Mariyadhai in 2009, another Tamil film starring Vijayakanth, Meena, Meera Jasmine and Ambika playing the lead roles.

Though the film was a remake of Tamil film Suryavamsam (1997) directed by Vikraman, it went on to be a mega hit blockbuster film being more successful than the original.
Soon Vikraman came to know that he is affected with Tuberculosis and left home, carrying his gun, in order to save his sister and her daughters from the disease.
