In 2007 Mark toured through Switzerland, Mexico, North America and Canada as a session guitarist for avant-garde metal act Virgin Black.
Mark Kelson of The Eternal joined them as guest-guitarist for these live performances.

Originally booked to tour with Dimmu Borgir, the Norwegian band cancelled its visit but several months later Nazxul undertook a tour with Adelaide based gothic metal band Virgin Black instead.
The album builds on the styles Virgin Black used in their previous albums, with the band and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra complimenting one another's sound and given roughly equal prominence.
