In Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Wacker Drive is seen in a number of scenes.
Dever's term in office saw many improvements to the city's infrastructure, including the completion of Wacker Drive, the extension of Ogden Avenue, the straightening of the Chicago River and the building of the city's first airport, Municipal Airport.
The antenna and transmitter, which at that time were on top of the Civic Opera House, 20 N. Wacker Drive (about 29 stories high) were relocated to the top of the Standard Oil Building, 200 E. Randolph, which, at 1190 feet was actually slightly higher than the more prestigious Hancock Building, 875 N. Michigan Ave, where many stations had their transmitters.

333 Wacker Drive was featured in the 1986 movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off as the building containing Ferris Bueller's father's offices, and was voted "Favorite Building" by the readers of The Chicago Tribune in 1995.
