Alfred the Great was born in Wantage, previously in Berkshire but now in Oxfordshire.
Segsbury Camp or Segsbury Castle is an Iron Age hill fort on the crest of the Berkshire Downs, near the Ridgeway above Wantage, in the Vale of White Horse district of Oxfordshire, England.
From 1866 to 1977, the school was run by the Sisters of the Community of St. Mary the Virgin, an Anglican order based in Wantage, England.
