He received his primary education in a Buddhist temple school in Uthaithani and continued the Buddhist education at Wat Mahathat in Bangkok where he excelled in Buddhist studies, reaching a high stage of Prien and graduating first in the kingdom.
After being deserted for about 300 years, the town was reestablished near Wat Mahathat by King U-Thong of Ayutthaya.
It was written in the Royal Chronicle as follow that : "In front of Wat Mahathat, Sanam Luang lies between the Royal Palace and the Front Palace. When royal cremation was held at the Phra Men Ground, the pyre set up in the centre with the Royal Palace Pavilion to the south and the one of the Prince of the Front Palace to the north. The music from the Royal Palace and from the Palace to the Front would be played on opposite sides of Sanam Luang".
It is located in a charming old building in Silpakorn University Art Center on the Tha Chang campus on Na Pralarn Road, directly north of the Grand Palace and south of Wat Mahathat.
