The aim of the attack was to seize the key Grand Trunk Road around Wazirabad and the capture of Jassoran which would enable domination of Sialkot-Pasrur railway, thus completely cutting off Pakistani supply line.
Shaikh Nazrul Bakar (1913, Wazirabad, British India – 1966) better known as S N Bakar, was a prominent civil servant of Pakistan.
He extended his rule in Rohtas, Chakwal, Pind Dadan Khan which Stood in Pothohar Region of Northern Punjab and took Wazirabad under his control.
