The two teams were locked 43βall when Wesley Gonzales, Rich Alvarez, Larry Fonacier and Andrew Cruz engineered a 21β3 run to put Ateneo up 64β46 with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter.
At 6-foot-5, Gonzales played for the 2002 UAAP championship squad of the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles, and was named co-Finals MVP, along with teammate Larry Fonacier.
