Aymestry Limestone

It is well developed in the neighbourhood of Ludlow (it is sometimes called the Ludlow limestone) and occupies a similar position in the Ludlow shales at Woolhope, the Abberley Hills, May Hill and the Malvern Hills.

Susan Tooby

Susan Tooby (Susan Julia Tooby, married Wightman; born 24 October 1960 in Woolhope, Herefordshire, England) is a retired female long-distance runner from Great Britain, who represented Wales during her career.

Woolhope

The area was a retreat of late TV writer John Sullivan, whose works included Only Fools and Horses and The Green Green Grass, and of musician Roger Whittaker, who previously inhabited one half of the Wessington Court estate house.

Woolhope is located about 7 miles east of Hereford, sat atop the 'Woolhope Dome', a region of particular geological interest; and near Haugh Wood, a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its varied flora and fauna.

Woolhope Naturalists' Field Club

The club was and still is based in the city of Hereford, but took its name from the Woolhope Dome, an outcrop of Silurian rocks around the village of Woolhope to the south-east of the city.
