Around the same time, he was active in the group X-Press 2, which consisted of Beedle, Rocky and Diesel and had club and chart action through the nineties and noughties with tracks such as Muzik Xpress, London Xpress and a number 2 in the national charts with the track Lazy, a collaboration with the Talking Heads' David Byrne.
In addition to being a recording artist and DJ, Kidda is an animator and video director and has made music promos for assorted artists such as Midfield General, the Lo-Fidelity Allstars, X-Press 2 and Phil Kieran – as well as completing animation work for the stage shows of US artists Kanye West and Rihanna.
2001 saw the release of their album Muzikizum which contained two more US dance chart entries: "Smoke Machine" (number 31) and "Lazy", which peaked at number one in 2002 and also peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart in the duo's native United Kingdom.
