She studied fashion at the Birmingham College of Art under Zandra Rhodes, and started her fashion career as a fashion illustrator during her senior year (1971) at college.
In 1983, after many years of experience with wardrobe and costumes onstage and on-screen, Lynne became a fashion designer and designed the handbags for the English fashion icon, Zandra Rhodes.
Eriksson had no intention of becoming a model but after completing her undergraduate degree, worked for a short time in London as house model for top London designers Bellville Sassoon and Zandra Rhodes.
The band paid more attention to their look on stage and employed the services of Zandra Rhodes to design some of their costumes.
