Bighorn sheep were introduced to the island in the 1980's; hunting is managed by the tribal government in coordination with Mexican federal authorities.


Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae

In July 2007 it was discovered that this species of Mycoplasma was responsible for the deaths of bighorn sheep in the Western United States.
