unusual facts about demonology

Demonology

It is primarily based on the Bible (Old Testament and New Testament), the exegesis of these scriptures, the scriptures of early Christian philosophers and hermits, tradition, and legends incorporated from other beliefs.

John Lambe

Accounts of Lambe’s life would also appear in later writings, such as Isaac D'Israeli’s Curiosities of Literature and Sir Walter Scott’s Letters on Demonology and Witchcraft.

Pamyat

William Korey, Russian Antisemitism, Pamyat, and the Demonology of Zionism, Harwood Academic Pub, 2007

Personal Effects

It is based on Rick Moody's story Mansion on the Hill (from his book Demonology).

Ziminiar

In demonology Ziminiar or Zymymar is one of the four principal kings that have power on the seventy-two demons supposedly constrained by King Solomon (according to the Lesser Key of Solomon), and is not to be conjured except on great occasions.

The other three kings are Amaymon, Corson and Gaap (although some translations of The Lesser Key of Solomon consider Belial, Beleth, Asmodai and Gaap, not giving detail on the cardinal point they rule).
