1911–12 FA Cup

Barnsley won the competition for the first and (as of 2010) only time, beating West Bromwich Albion 1–0 after extra time in the replay of the final at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, through a goal from Harry Tufnell.

1976 FA Cup Final

As extra time loomed, Southampton's Bobby Stokes received Jim McCalliog's pass and slotted the ball across Stepney and into the far corner to score a late winner and with it his side's first major trophy.

John Aldridge, Liverpool's leading scorer that season, opened the scoring in the fourth minute, and Everton failed to respond until the 89th minute when Stuart McCall jabbed in a late equaliser to force extra time.

Alan Thompson's 9th-minute deflected free-kick ultimately won it for Celtic, with Chris Sutton missing a late penalty before Alan Archibald's injury-time drive nearly securing extra-time.

The winners were Maccabi Herzliya, beating Hapoel Kfar Saba in the final 2–1 thanks to a goal in the game extra time by Omer Buchsenbaum.

2008 Coupe de France Final

Lyon's primary chances were as a result of Juninho's free kicks, while PSG probably had the best chance of the night when Amara Diané got through in the box and had a great chance, however it was miraculously saved by Grégory Coupet, who was playing his last match in a Lyon jersey, leaving the match up for grabs as they headed to extra time.

2008 Football League Cup Final

Three minutes into extra time, Jonathan Woodgate headed a Jermaine Jenas free kick onto Petr Čech, who in turn pushed it straight back onto Woodgate's head to score the winning goal.

2010 NRL Second Qualifying Final
