The first Jeff Beck Group formed in London in early 1967 and included guitarist Jeff Beck, vocalist Rod Stewart, rhythm guitarist Ronnie Wood, with bass players and drummers changing regularly.
The 1958 reproduction of the painting was used for the album cover of Beck-Ola by The Jeff Beck Group.

Volume 2 covers both incarnations of The Jeff Beck Group which each released two albums and finishes with Beck, Bogert and Appice tunes.
"The Red Rooster" was one in a string of Willie Dixon-penned songs that Howlin' Wolf recorded in the early 1960s that were later popularized by rock artists ("Back Door Man" – The Doors, "Spoonful" – Cream, "Little Red Rooster" – The Rolling Stones, and "I Ain't Superstitious" – The Jeff Beck Group).
The film features a new Oasis song also called "Lord Don't Slow Me Down", written by Noel Gallagher and recorded during the Don't Believe the Truth sessions, Gallagher described it as being "one of the best things, like The Who, The Yardbirds and the Jeff Beck Group combined, and it's got two drum solos on it!".

Rod "The Mod" Stewart and Ronnie Wood) Chris Rea, Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale, Dire Straits, Marc Almond / Soft Cell etc. many of whom went on to superstardom.
In 1969, besides his roles as a DJ, station manager, and live show producer, he also managed Leigh Stephens (former lead guitarist of the San Francisco psychedelic rock group Blue Cheer), Micky Waller (UK the Steampacket, Brian Auger, Julie Driscoll & The Trinity, the Jeff Beck Group 1968-69), and Pete Sears in the band Silver Metre, and in 1970 Stoneground.
