Culture Vultures is a 2007 indie rock album by American band Orson.
The town is on the Ruta de Don Quijote and nearby tourist attractions include Libisosa (the remains of a Roman Town near Lezuza), Alcaraz which is a medieval town, Las Lagunas de Ruidera and the Sierra de Alcaraz (where eagles, vultures, great bustards, wild boar and lynxes live).

Of a series of legends, the one identifying Khvamli as the site of punishment of Prometheus, or his local counterpart, Amirani, feature in some 19th-century European travel accounts and even found its way in Jules Verne's Kéraban the Inflexible, which mentions "the rock of Khomli, overlooking Koutais, to which Prometheus was bound, and where the vultures eternally feed upon his entrails as a punishment for having stolen the bolts of heaven".
Mount Abantos takes its name from abanto, a name for various species of vultures such as the black vulture, the red buzzard, the griffon vulture or African vulture, which can sometimes be seen flying on the mountain.

The Palm-nut Vulture (Gypohierax angolensis) or Vulturine Fish Eagle, is a very large bird of prey in the family Accipitridae which also includes many other diurnal raptors such as kites, buzzards and harriers, vultures, and eagles.
