12-metre class

New Zealand (KZ 7) "Kiwi Magic" Runner-up in 1987 Louis Vuitton Cup, and the first 12 Metre to be made from fibreglass.

Vim had numerous innovative features including a trim tab on the rudder, two-speed winches and a lighter mast made of Duralumin (a form of aluminium used in the aircraft industry).

The 12 Metre Class was used in the Olympic Games of 1908, 1912 and 1920 but few boats participated in these events.
