Alan Kendall

The original line-up of the band consisted of Cliff Bennett on lead vocal and piano, Ken Hensley on guitar, keyboards and vocals, John Glascock on bass and Lee Kerslake on drums; Kendall replaced Hensley on lead guitar.

With the Bee Gees, Kendall appeared on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey, a Command Performance for the Queen of the United Kingdom, as well as numerous other live performances.

His next known appearances were with Glass Menagerie, In 1970, he joined the bluesy progressive rock band Toe Fat who had released one album called Toe Fat.


High Civilization

Highlights from the album included the first single, "Secret Love", an up-tempo ballad, which was a top five hit in the UK, "When He's Gone", a heavier pop song, issued as the album's second single, it features the Alan Kendall's guitar solo ending on that song, and the sentimental ballad "The Only Love", released as the third and final single from the album.

By 1975, the Bee Gees assembled a studio group consisting of Alan Kendall on electric guitar, Blue Weaver on keyboards and Dennis Bryon on drums.

Toe Fat

After the first album, Kerslake and Hensley were replaced by Brian Glascock (drums) and Alan Kendall (guitar) respectively.
