Albert Pike

Pike was born in Boston, Massachusetts, son of Ben and Sarah (Andrews) Pike, and spent his childhood in Byfield and Newburyport, Massachusetts.

He also made several contacts among the Native American tribes in the area, at one point negotiating an $800,000 settlement between the Creeks and other tribes and the federal government.

Anton Chaitkin

During the 1990s, Chaitkin helped to lead a campaign that called for the removal of the statue of Albert Pike from federal property in Judiciary Square, located in Washington, D.C. Chaitkin charged that Pike, a leader of the Scottish rite of Freemasonry and author of Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, was an important founder of the Ku Klux Klan.

Bryan County, Oklahoma

General Albert Pike established Fort McCulloch for the Confederate Army near the present town of Kenefic on the Blue River.

Knight Kadosh

The 1918 edition of the Catholic Encyclopedia stated that, in the ceremony in use in the Southern Jurisdiction of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in the United States, purported to have been written by Albert Pike, the Papal tiara is trampled during the initiation.

Lucifer

In what is known as the Taxil hoax, he claimed that supposedly leading Freemason Albert Pike had addressed "The 23 Supreme Confederated Councils of the world" (an invention of Taxil), instructing them that Lucifer was God, and was in opposition to the evil god Adonai.

Palladists

alleged that Palladists were Satanists based in Charleston, South Carolina headed by the American Freemason Albert Pike and created by the Italian liberal patriot and author, Giuseppe Mazzini.
