Alfred Yarrow

It was to be a short-lived move, for less than 10 years later (1906–1908) Yarrow gradually moving his yard northwards to Scotstoun on the banks of the River Clyde on the west coast of Scotland, closing the London shipyard in 1908.

Bearwood College

The mansion was acquired by Sir Thomas Devitt and Sir Alfred Yarrow after the First World War, and the Royal Merchant Navy School moved there from Snaresbrook in March 1921.

East Kent College

It was named after shipbuilder Sir Alfred Yarrow, who provided funds for the construction of the building as a children’s convalescent home in 1895.
