Archey's frog

It is named after Sir Gilbert Archey (1890–1974), the former Director of the Auckland Institute.


Chile Darwin's frog

The Chile Darwin's frog has a very restricted range in central Chile, being found in Talca Province and southwards to Bío Bío Province, between from 33° 30'S to 37° 50'S.

Haswell's frog

The Haswell's frog (Paracrinia haswelli) is a small ground frog found around coastal swamps in eastern Australia from around Port Macquarie, New South Wales to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

Hose's frog

Its closest living relatives appear to be O. chloronota which occurs to the north of Hose's frog's range, as well as O. livida and O. morafkai with a more limited range in Myanmar and Vietnam, respectively; these four appear to form a close-knit group wherein the northern species are barely closer to each other than Hose's frog is to any of them.

Maungatautari Restoration Project

In December 2004, eleven endangered Hochstetter's frogs were found living on Maungatautari in a rocky region.
