Dixie-Narco EP

Recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis, this is the only official Primal Scream release to contain the song "Screamadelica", which was not used on their Screamadelica album ("Movin' on Up" appears on Screamadelica).

Reed initially gained experience as an engineer while working for Malaco Records and Parallax Records, both independent labels based in Jackson, MS; and later, Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN garnering numerous gold and platinum awards with such artists such as the U.K.’s Primal Scream, the pop-sensible Gin Blossoms and the country music world’s Aaron Tippin.


Gravest Hits

Gravest Hits is the debut 12" EP by the American garage punk band The Cramps, compiling both sides of their first two 1978 Vengeance singles, "Surfin' Bird" and "Human Fly," and adding a fifth track, a cover of "Lonesome Town". It was released in July 1979 on Illegal Records and I.R.S. Records. The tracks were all produced by Alex Chilton and recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis in 1977. It featured liner notes by "Dr.

Hold On, I'm Comin'

In August, 2007 soul singer Guy Sebastian recorded a tribute version of Hold On, I'm Comin at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee for his album of soul classics The Memphis Album with many of the original Stax music band members including Steve Cropper, Donald Duck Dunn, Lester Snell, and Steve Potts.

I've Been Loving You Too Long

"I've Been Loving You Too Long" is a stand-out track and was recorded to analogue tape live on the studio floor at Ardent Studios with many of the original Stax music band members, including Steve Cropper, Donald Duck Dunn, Lester Snell, Steve Potts (most of Booker T. & the MG's, though without Booker T himself) backing the vocals of Sebastian.
