The Morris On project has spawned several sequels across his career: Son of Morris On (1976), Grandson of Morris On (2002) and Great Grandson of Morris On (2004).

Hutchings' new band Steeleye Span was formed by putting together two established folk duos Tim Hart and Maddy Prior with Terry and Gay Woods.

They rehearsed on the floor above Nicol's father's medical practice in a house called "Fairport" and lent its name to the group they formed together as Fairport Convention in 1967 with Richard Thompson, which soon included Martin Lamble, Judy Dyble and Iain Matthews.

These concerts continue under the "Electric Voices" brand and include world-renowned acts such as Dick Gaughan, the Copper Family, Ashley Hutchings, Bill Caddick, Coope Boyes and Simpson and many other leading musicians in this field.
The concert featured surviving original Fairport members Richard Thompson, Ashley Hutchings, Simon Nicol, Dave Mattacks, Iain Matthews and Judy Dyble as well as a host of guest vocalists including Chris While, Teddy Thompson and Linde Nijland.
In 1969 they moved south and played London folk clubs, where they met Ashley Hutchings, who had recently left Fairport Convention and was attempting to form a new group involving members of the Irish band Sweeney's Men including Terry Woods.
Son of Morris On is an electric folk album released in 1976 under the joint names of Ashley Hutchings, Simon Nicol, John Tams, Phil Picket, Michael Gregory, Dave Mattacks, Shirley Collins, Martin Carthy, John Watchem, John Rodd, The Albion Morris Men, Ian Cutler, and the Adderbury Village Morris Men.

July 2009 Linde was asked by Joe Boyd (former producer of, among others, Nick Drake, Incredible String Band, Fairport Convention, Pink Floyd) to sing the songs "Fotheringay" and "Si tu dois partir" as part of an 'All Star' Fairport Convention reunion concert in the Barbican Hall in London with original Fairport members Richard Thompson, Simon Nicol, Judy Dyble, Iain Mathews, Ashley Hutchings, Dave Mattacks and Dave Pegg.
