He worked as a graphic designer before joining BBC Bristol design department in 1968 where he "discovered" animation and with producer Colin Thomas developed the series "Animated Conversations" whereby "natural-unscripted" dialogue was recorded (sometimes secretly) before adding the animated visuals.
On the music front, Adam Davy composed the music for the radio play, 'Clean Sheets', for BBC Bristol in 2000 and has toured with many bands/musicians, including Andy Leek, of the 'Dexys Midnight Runners', legendary poet/musician Pete Brown.
In 1994, it was the subject of a BBC Bristol documentary, which tells the story of former Newquay policeman Derek Fowkes as he searches for absentee landlord, John Paget Figg-Hoblyn.
