Babes in the Wood, also known as Children of the Wood, is a traditional children's tale.
It is a re-working of the British folk tale Babes in the Wood, with some material incorporated from Hansel and Gretel by the Brothers Grimm, and the addition of a village of friendly elves (a feature not traditionally present in either tale) and a happy ending.

He has defended in over 85 murder trials, and has appeared in a number of notable criminal trials,for example the Kray Brothers (gang-land murders), the serial killer Denis Nilsen, Russell Bishop (Brighton Babes in the Wood murder), the Mountnessing silver bullion robbery, the Brinks Mat gold bullion money-laundering, and a mass-murder war crimes trial at the Hague.
It contained the songs "Brand New Star" and "Just Around The Corner," which came to the attention of Mary Black as she was preparing the album Babes In The Wood.
Besoyan also wrote the 1964 off-Broadway production of Babes in the Wood starring Ruth Buzzi, which ran for 45 performances.
