This same year, Braeburn entered into an agreement with the University of Warwick to provide training for local teachers in the form of a Bachelor of Philosophy (Education) through a Continuing Professional Development programme.
He graduated from Brown University in 1926 with a Ph.B. degree and went on to receive a law degree from the New Jersey Law School (now Rutgers School of Law–Newark) in 1931.

During his freshman year Niederauer changed course and decided to enter St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, from where in 1959 he earned a Bachelor of Philosophy degree.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, as well as a bachelor of philosophy degree (B.Phil.) and a master's degree (M.A.) in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus, Ohio.
