Baltic Exchange

In June 2006 an Estonian businessman, Eerik-Niiles Kross, found the advertisement for the components of the Baltic Exchange building on SalvoWEB whilst trawling the web for reclaimed flooring.

What remained of Exchange Hall was completely razed in 1998 with the permission of the planning minister John Prescott, over the objections of architectural preservationists, including Save Britain's Heritage who sought a judicial review of his decision.

Church of St Mary Axe

No. 30 was the location of the Baltic Exchange until it was destroyed by an IRA bomb in 1992; the Exchange is now located at No. 38 just to the north of its former address.

Frederick Lohden

As well as rugby, Lohden was a keen sports shooter, and won the Baltic Exchange 'miniature' Championship for three years running.

The Troubles in Bessbrook

He was responsible for the 1996 Docklands bombing and Baltic Exchange bombing.
