Performing at the Sidetracked Music Festival on the 26th were Birds of Tokyo, while on the Sunday The Living End headlined the post-race concert.
In 2013 the first 'Big Pineapple Music Festival' was held in April with Birds of Tokyo headlining the event.
2008 seen the release of their debut full length album Dakota, recorded by West Australian Music Industry Award nominated producer Adam Sparks of Wing Command Studios and Birds of Tokyo.
This festival ran from 26 to 28 November including music by artists such as Bliss n Eso, You Am I and Birds of Tokyo.
Throughout January they also performed at the 2011 Sydney Big Day Out, as well as opening for a string of Hot Hot Heat and Birds of Tokyo shows.

In October 2010 the band entered Underground Studios again, this time with co-producer, Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dallas Frasca, Birds of Tokyo, The Butterfly Effect) to begin recording the album.
