Brampton Bryan

Other buildings within the village include a number of fine Georgian houses and some earlier timber-framed buildings situated around the small triangular green.

The village is mentioned in the Domesday Survey when it formed part of the estate of Ralph de Mortimer although evidence of occupation extends back to at least Roman times, as the remains of a temporary marching camp lie near the village.

Buckton and Coxall

The Herefordshire Trail long distance footpath passes through the southern part of the parish, on its way between the nearby Herefordshire villages of Brampton Bryan and Leintwardine.


Bucknell railway station

Local bus services (the Arriva 738 & 740) call at the station, which travel between Ludlow and Knighton and call at the nearby villages of Bedstone, Brampton Bryan and Leintwardine.
