3 unusual facts about Bristol LH

Bristol LH

Eastern National bought four LH6Ls in 1977, all with Leyland O.401 engines, 5-speed manual gearboxes, ECW bodies and dual headlight fronts.

Dennis Domino

1760 (C760YBA) demonstrated for an extended period early in 1986 to London Transport in a version of their livery but the only other customer for the type was South Yorkshire PTE, who wanted to replace a batch of second-hand Bristol LHS on services reaching into more inaccessible areas of Sheffield.

Leyland Tiger Cub

From 1961 when longer single decks were allowed domestic sales of the Tiger Cub began to tail off, and by 1969 the model could be considered replaced in the British Leyland catalogue by the similarly powered Bristol LH.
