Jessica is the winner of the 2010 Northern Ireland Belfast CityBeat competition Young Star Search developed by Stuart Robinson (now Cool FM).
She returned to the airwaves with local Winnipeg radio station Cool FM before rejoining Global in 2008 to begin her role as a Fox Soccer Report anchor, where she remained until 2010.

Despite being a community based radio station staffed by volunteers, Blast 106 competes with commercial rivals in the Belfast area such as Cool FM and Citybeat.
Soon afterwards, Robinson moved away from RSL radio to concentrate on developing his Young Star Search format across Northern Ireland which successfully ran on Belfast Citybeat until his defection to Cool FM and Downtown Radio in 2010.
This operated during the first week of term in September 1995 and was hosted by Cool FM DJs and some students, including the now BBC Radio Ulster presenter/producer Donna Legge, Citybeat presenter Stuart Robinson and Downtown Radio DJ Lynda Cullan but was not set up or run by students at Queen's.
The main sponsor behind the festival is Heineken with Downtown Radio, Cool FM, Europa Hotel and 21 Social also sponsoring the two-day event which takes place over the end of August Bank Holiday.
A small caravan on the 'Castle Green' at the foot of Carrick's 12th-century Norman Castle gave home to presenters on the first day including Paul Buckle(now BBC NI), Stuart Robinson (now Cool FM /Downtown), Ricky K (now Citybeat), Natasha Sayee (now BBC NI) and Eddie West (now Cool FM / Downtown).
Following the announcement, all Cool FM programs were immediately stopped and the station played continuous Christmas music for the rest of the year.
