Cotton Tufts (born in Medford, Massachusetts, 30 May 1734; died in Weymouth, Massachusetts, 8 December 1815) was a Massachusetts physician.

Whittemore was in his fields when he spotted an approaching British relief brigade under Earl Percy, sent to assist the retreat.
He was taken to Dr. Cotton Tufts of Medford, who perceived no hope for his survival.
