4 unusual facts about Dan Sealey


Dan Sealey

Prior to joining Ocean Colour Scene, Sealey was singer and rhythm guitarist in Late, a four-piece indie/rock band from Astwood Bank, Redditch, Worcestershire who were active between 1997 and 2001.

The 2004 Ronnie Lane memorial gig was the first to feature Sealey on bass and Andy Bennett on rhythm guitar, Sealey toured with Ocean Colour Scene throughout 2004 and features on the 2004 live album One for the Road but not on the 2005 studio album A Hyperactive Workout for the Flying Squad.

2012 saw Sealey and Simon Fowler team up with Adam Barry, founder member of The Misers, to release a solo album of Fowlers called 'Simon Fowlers Merrymouth featuring guest appearances from John McCusker and Andy Cutting.

On the Leyline

The fourth track ("Man in the Middle"), was written by the band's bass guitarist, Dan Sealey.
