Diego Masson

His activities as a composer and arranger were mainly from the early part of his career and included film scores composed for Équivoque 1900 (1966), and two Louis Malle projects, the "William Wilson" segment of the Edgar Allan Poe triptych Histoires extraordinaires (1968), and Black Moon (1975), for which he adapted music by Wagner.

The son of artist André Masson and brother of the singer and actor Luís Masson, Diego Masson studied piano and composition at the Paris Conservatoire.


London Sinfonietta

The ensemble is a resident ensemble of the Southbank Centre, where it performs much of its London season under both its Conductor Laureate Oliver Knussen and guest conductors such as Diego Masson, Pierre-André Valade, Martyn Brabbins and George Benjamin.

Orlando Jopling

After a music degree from Cambridge University, Orlando studied with Sir Colin Davis, George Hurst and Colin Metters at the RAM and Diego Masson at Dartington.
