Dorsch was at Baylor University from 2002 to 2005 and was a member of the Baylor team that claimed the national championship in 2004.
Among them were Tim Dorsch, Scott Irby-Rainnar, Lori Wells, Miles Thompson (who later went on to star in the feature film Me and You and Everyone We Know), Allie Berdebes, Vanessa Lengies, and Louie Torrellas.
While attending Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, Dorsch played for both the Purdue Boilermakers football team and the Boilermakers baseball team.
