Campus Compact

In 2009, Campus Compact moved its national office from the campus of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island to the Downtown Crossing district of Boston, Massachusetts.

Downtown Crossing

A small mall called Lafayette Place Mall was attached to the Jordan Marsh store in 1985; by 1992 the mall was closed and has since been converted to offices.

In 2006, Vornado Realty Trust announced the purchase of the former Filenes site for $100m.

Vornado Realty Trust had been paying Filene's $500,000 a month in compensation for closing their Downtown Crossing store.

In 1841, Eben Jordan and Benjamin L. Marsh opened the first Jordan Marsh store as wholesalers, which later grew into a retail department store.
