As recently as December 2007, The RHS Orchid Hybrid Registration Authority was still calling Coilostylis vivipara by the name "Epidendrum viviparum Lindl." In the same issue of Orchid Review, the RHS announced that the changes in Volume 4 of Genera Orchidacearum were now reflected in new registrations.
Epidendrum chlorinium is a terrestrial species of reed-stemmed Epidendrum found in mountainous regions of the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and Espiritu Santo, Brazil, at altitudes of 1—1.5 km.
Epidendrum dendrobii is a terrestrial species of reed-stemmed Epidendrum of the Orchidaceae which grows on steep slopes in tropical montane cloud forests of Cochabamba, Bolivia and Venezuela at altitudes near 2.6 km.
The conservatory’s collection includes representatives of the largest genera – Bulbophyllum, Epidendrum, and Dendrobium – as well as commonly cultivated genera such as Cattleya and Phalaenopsis.
