Later that year, he went on to produce Angela Schanelec’s feature film Afternoon and began working as a producer for Wim Wenders’s film The Palermo Shooting, which premiered at the official selection of the Festival de Cannes 2008.
Always moved by his passion for culture, art and politics, he participated several times to the Annual Academy Awards, Festival de Cannes and Venice Film Festival.
As of 2012, the programme has run for over 400 editions and features annual episodes covering the Sundance, Cannes and Toronto film festivals.
The longevity of the series has also allowed Brook to report from some of the world’s top film festivals, including Cannes, Sundance, and Toronto.
Consequently, he has been able to co-produce all of the films of the Thai independent film director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, notably Tropical Malady (Prix du jury at the Festival de Cannes in 2004) and Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (Palme d'Or at the Festival de Cannes in 2010).
