As of 2000 Matchnet, based in Germany, went public and was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
More than 14 international exchanges have adopted Xetra (including the Vienna Stock Exchange in 1999, the Irish Stock Exchange in 2000 and the Budapest Stock Exchange in 2003).
In March 2004, Versant acquired Poet Software GmbH, a European-focused company targeting the Windows product market which had traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The programme was reaunched in September 2004, and replaced Frankfurt Closing Bell, which was shown at 8pm CET and co-presented from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by Silvia Wadhwa and by Simon Hobbs in London.
