In 1880, he exhibited at Turin Giorno che fu, and at the 1883 Exhibition of Rome, he exhibited a Veduta of Gressoney.
Gressoney, Champoluc, Alagna Valsesia and Macugnaga (under the impressive east face, intensely glaciated and some 2,500 metres high) are the main mountain and ski resorts that surround Monte Rosa along its southern side.
It is reached by two modern cableways, a gondola from Gabiet above Gressoney-La-Trinité and a cable car from above Alagna, and is an important link for the Monterosa Ski area, which one of the largest in Italy.
Riva Valdobbia borders the following municipalities: Alagna Valsesia, Campertogno, Gressoney-La-Trinité, Gressoney-Saint-Jean, Mollia, Rassa, and Rima San Giuseppe.
These are: Gressoney-La-Trinité, Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Issime (Lys Valley, in the Aosta Valley); Formazza, Macugnaga (Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province); Alagna Valsesia, Rima San Giuseppe, Rimella (Sesia Valley or Valsesia, in Vercelli province).
