Ralph Fiennes played Hamlet to Francesca Annis's Gertrude in Jonathan Kent's Almeida Theatre Company production of Hamlet, 28 February – 30 March 1995; the production also transferred to the Belasco Theatre in New York.
In 2008 he ran a month of slams for the Hackney Empire and was in Liz Bentley's Fringe show Edinburgh-by-sea.
While a fringe production was staged in 2007 at the Hackney Empire, the play was later revived in 2012 by the National Theatre on its Lyttelton stage.
The band showcased a number of songs from the new album during three concerts at London's Hackney Empire in June 2008.

Chris has also played Adonis in the 7 Sonnets of Michelangelo at the Lyric Hammersmith, a Geordie in Lost and Found at the Hackney Empire and taken the lead of John O’Brien in a national tour of Catherine Cookson’s The Fifteen Streets.
A feature in Time Out magazine in March 2009 highlighted notable points along the route as the Vortex Jazz Club and Café Oto in Dalston, the Hackney Empire theatre, Broadway Market in London Fields and One Canada Square in Canary Wharf.
He has also appeared in classical theatre, in various Doctor Who audio productions, an episode of the 2005 Channel 4 drama The Courtroom, Headlong Theatre's production of Paradise Lost at the Hackney Empire and in the musical play ENRON at the Royal Court and in the West End.
It was the opening production at the newly refurbished Hackney Empire studio in 2006 starring Alexander Fiske-Harrison and Jos Vantyler.
In August 2012, she appeared alongside Jenny Eclair and Ellie Taylor at the Hackney Empire, part of the season Ha Ha Hackney.
