Christine Daure-Serfaty is a writer and a French human rights activist, who distinguished herself in Morocco where she embraced the fight of the victims of King Hassan II, during the "Years of Lead," and from afar, played a major role in the evolution of the regime and the human rights in Morocco.
King Hassan was educated at the Imperial College at Rabat, and earned a law degree from the University of Bordeaux.
On Walter Ladd's death, and in accordance with his will, Natirar was sold to King Hassan II of Morocco.

Gradual political reforms in the 1990s resulted in the establishment of a bicameral legislature in 1997, and with the death of King Hassan II of Morocco in 1999, the more liberal-minded Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed, who assumed the title of Mohammed VI, took the throne.
Princess Lalla Malika (born 14 March 1933) is a sister of the late King Hassan II of Morocco, and daughter of King Mohammed V of Morocco and Lalla Abla bint Tahar.
