Helm Peak

It was named in 1977 by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in association with other wind names in the area: the Helm Wind is an easterly gale in the lee of the northern Pennines of England.

King's Meaburn

Due to the village’s position relative to the nearby mountains, the village can be subject to strong winds known as the Helm Wind.

Milburn, Cumbria

Many of the villages on the Eden Valley’s eastern fell side are subject to the Helm Wind and Milburn is no exception.
