In college soccer with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Daws scored a record 61 goals and won the Hermann Trophy and Honda-Broderick Cup.
He was named first team All-ACC all four of his years, was a three-time finalist for the Hermann Award, and as a senior was awarded the Hermann Trophy by the Missouri Athletic Club, marking him as the nation's top college player.
That year he earned first team All American honors and the Missouri Athletic Club named him as the Hermann Trophy player of the year.
He played college soccer at Virginia Tech and Liberty University, where he was named a member of the All-Big South First Team in 2007, and honored as the Big South Player of the Year and was named to the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List for the best player in the NCAA in 2008, He was also an All American player.
