Due to its location near Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets, all these stadiums share the Mets–Willets Point stop on the New York City Subway's 7 Train.
Originally part of New York City's bid to host the 2012 Summer Olympics, the New York City government had announced its intent to extend the 7 train to a station at 34th Street and Eleventh Avenue, adjacent to Javits Center to help facilitate development on the air-rights of the West Side Yards.
